2022 FIFA World Cup qualification: Who has qualified for the finals in Qatar this year

2022 FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18. in this 27-days tournament will take place across eight stadiums, This will be the first FIFA World Cup to be held in the Middle East.

Qatar, the winner of the two-team qualifiers between the five teams in March, will represent Africa in the 2022 World Cup.

Asia

Five or six teams will represent Asia, depending on the other qualifiers.

Europe

In addition to the 10 already qualified, there are three more slots for the European team.

Play-off qualifiers: Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and Wales.


North, Central America and the Caribbean

Three or four teams will represent CONCACAF,depending on the other qualifiers. The third-place finishers will qualify directly for the top three as they advance to the intercontinental playoffs.

Oceania

At most one team will represent Oceania - no representation is likely.

Eligibility will be held between 13 and 30 March. The winners will face the CONCACAF team for a place in a playoff.


South America

At least four teams will represent South America.

The top four teams will automatically qualify while the fifth-place finishers will qualify if they win the intercontinental playoffs.
